Dropped weight on me the other day.

All my life I’ve been good about lifting weight safely.

I didn’t the other day.

I was bench pressing, and the bar slipped out of my hand and landed on my chest.

Luckily I wasn’t at full lockout/extension.

But it still hurt like hell!

I don’t have a broken rib. I think it’s just a deep tissue bruise. I’ll be fine. 3 weeks of resting it will help.

In the grand scheme of things, that’s not that long. But long enough to keep me from lifting weight the way I want. Especially on the bench press.

Got to let it heal if I want to. It’s feeing better. It has been.

So that’s a good sign!
